“A dress should be tight enough to show you’re a woman, and loose enough to prove you’re a lady”
Per tradition, here are some of my top favs from Hollywood’s biggest night:
{Michelle Williams. She can really do no wrong in my eyes; love her personal style. They kept saying this dress was coral, so I would love to see it in person, and I would love to see the back.}
{For me, Tina Fey usually misses on the fashion train, but she was Fab-u-lous in Carolina Herrera (who has been one of my personal fav designers for years). Love the up-do too.}
{Gwyneth was simple, clean and stunning in Tom Ford. Wasn’t crazy about the loose pony.}
{Octavia doesn’t need any “Help.”}
{Loved the feminine bow on Emma}
{Surprisingly, I loved the red carpet interviewer, Louise. Her dress was modest and beautiful; loved the entire ensemble.}
{My not-so-favorite moment, that everyone else seemed to love:}
{I love Sandra, but was it just me or did it look like she just got back from a botox appointment????}
Other thoughts:
- I thought the Red Carpet interviewers did a great job. They seemed genuine, because they usually drive me nuts.
- Loved the Mominee clip (interview of the moms they showed during the red carpet).
- Loved the little interview video montages they showed during the show.
- Billy Crystal is a classic Oscar host. He’s like style vs. trend. Trend is good at first, but style will always last.
- I just really love Oscar night. Husband humored me and we had roasted shrimp and cauliflower poppers (new fav treat) for dinner.
