On Saturday, we hosted Little Man’s 2nd birthday party. We went with a fish theme. We decorated the night before, so when C came down in the morning there were fish suspended throughout the room. He was pretty jazzed. Husband and his parents were a HUGE help with pulling off the event.

Sunday morning, we got up, stopped by our little bakery for some last minute purchases and jumped our fancy dancy train to Switzerland. The French countryside was beautiful. I loved seeing the quaint towns with the old churches at their center. Seeing the countryside and architecture change as we neared Switzerland was really neat.

We took a morning stroll to an adorable cafe (Le Boulanger des Invalides Jocteur) I had read about, that boasts the best hot chocolate. Verdict? We could not agree more. Beautiful cafe, yummy breakfast pastries and the best hot coco, all enjoyed outside. Perfect start.

We checked into our adorable hotel. Seriously, adorable. It was decorated in a French country theme, we had a private courtyard and it was on a pedestrian only street corner that backs Rue Cler, which is lined with wonderful fromageries, butchers, fruit stands, boulangerie, flower stands, etc.

…well sort of.
11 days, 3 countries and over 1,800 pictures later and we’re back from our European vacay. I’m in Okie Land reuniting with my Little Man, but when I get home and start sifting through the pictures, I hope to post ASAP.
