Oh how I LOVE Awards season. I’m like a giddy little school girl. I love me some Oscars because, well, it’s the Oscars but I haven’t seen a quarter of the movies mentioned. The Golden Globes on the other hand, with the mix of TV & movies, I can hang with it and find it amusing watching celebrities try to find their way to the stage in a drunken stupor.

Husband made it through about 10 minutes of the Red Carpet before he declared it supremely superficial and left the room. The Red Carpet was a hot mess thanks to the rain, soaking wet umbrellas and huge egos tramping in their stilettos down a soaked carpet. I lost count how many times Billy Bush questioned people about the rain. He was frantic.

I was sad about the rain because it made it harder to scope the fashion, but from what I could see here are some of the ones I like:

January Jones had a great hair fix for the rain:

Drew, I like the one on your shoulder, but the double whammy on your hip is a little too sea coral to me:

I’m also loving Ricky Gervais’ honesty; at moments crude yet strangely refreshing. I don’t know if I’ve EVER seen someone “F” their presentation up like Felicity Huffman did. Wowza.

Loved seeing Julia on the Carpet. Where has she been lately? She was so fresh, fun and natural!

Also, maybe I got a little misty eyed when “Up” won the animation award and the creator was wearing a grape soda pin. Loved it.
