I had to write a post on the book, The Help, we read for book club this month because it was SO good. Husband asked me in what way it was so good. It’s not that there’s tons of action, romance or romantic action, it’s just a great book. I think the character development is probably what makes it for me. The story is based upon black help for white families in Jackson, Mississippi in the 50-60’s.

We also decided to do a potluck this month rather than having the host prep all of the food, which I was excited about because there’s a recipe I’ve been wanting to try. I made a baked cheesy veggie twist. Perfect for a brunch/girl occasion. Husband snatched a picture before Charlie and I ran out the door.
