Giving of Thanks Oklahoma Style

Hopefully you saw our Thanksgiving Surprise video in the previous post. It was the perfect beginning to a wonderful week.

Steven spent the first two days working, so Charlie and I got to spend time meeting all of the family and friends.**

Thanksgiving Day began with watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, family tradition, and baking up a storm-I was in charge of making all of the pies - and finished off with playing Cabella’s hunting game on the Wii.

We skipped the Black Friday festivities and instead the boys went out to the 64 Acres (that’s what we really call it) and built a fence while the ladies made homemade strawberry jam. We rounded out the trip with family pictures, making popcorn wreaths and opening Christmas presents from my parents because we’ll be in Utah for the holiday.

We loved spending so much quality time with family and getting to introduce Charlie to everyone. Here are some (ok, several) pictures to show-off the week:

After the surprise, everyone came over to my Mom & Dad’s for a popcorn & PJ party

Charlie helped Papa get the Turkey ready

Table Centerpieces - we had 23 people at dinner

Apple, Turtle Pumpkin, Chocolate Pudding & Peanut Butter Cup

Probably the closest Husband will ever get to hunting

Bowman Cattle Company going out to build a fence to get ready for their herd

Next time we’ve gotta try Strawberry Mango jam…yum

Briley (2 months older than Charlie) was nice enough to share her pink gadgets. We made sure Charlie at least had a masculine blanket.

Making popcorn the old fashion way for Popcorn Wreaths

Charlie was so excited for his new Spring/Summer wardrobe

**I’m so sad. I can’t seem to find the pictures from Charlie and my lunch date with Hillary or breakfast date with Mandy & Hannah. Hopefully I can scrounge up the pictures.
