Countdown

May 3rd, 2009 by Elizabeth · 8 Comments

…to knowing (hopefully) the sex of our Babe is LESS THAN 24 hrs away! The day has crept upon us and is almost here; CRAZY! Aside from finding out the sex, we’ll also get the most detailed views of our little Babe and see how everything is developing. Hopefully, we’ll find a strong and healthy little guy or gal but no matter what, we’re thankful for this little Babe Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

So here’s our honest-to-goodness thoughts about what we “want”:

Eb: I’ve always imagined myself having a boy first, the big-brother protector. Maybe this is because I have three older brothers, Steven has four brothers and all of our brothers seem to breed boys. I love me some little boys. However, “gun to head” (as Steven and I like to say to one another) I think it’s a girl. The high heart rate (I know it’s an old wives’ tale) has kept nagging at me, signaling it may be a girl. In the past and growing up, I always thought a boy would come first but for some reason now I have a little girl in the forefront of my mind. I really don’t have a preference for what I “want” per se, I’m just ready to know so I can get going on the nursery and naming of the Babe.

Steven: Look readers, this a difficult situation for me. I have only been, been around, been with, seen, held, known, boys my entire life. I feel that if we were to have a boy I at least would have the very slightest semblance of what to do with him. I’d inudate him with Tonka trucks, trains and basically anything that goes vroom.

A girl on the other is an enigma wrapped in a riddle, smothered with the bitter taste of the great unknown. I haven’t the slightest idea of what to do with a little girl. Honestly, if she shows up there tomorrow I feel that for the sake of the babe I should go into hiding until she’s 16 when I’ll come stumbling back with a long beard and a pet mountain lion to scare the bujeebus out of anyone that tries to date her. I’d just mumble softly while cleaning my gun.

That being said I give two final thoughts:

1) I think it’s a boy

2) If it’s a girl I will still do my darndest to be the best mountainman father she’s ever had.

Some of you have made your predictions, a few girls and one boy, but we would really love to know what you think…

    A healthy, beautiful baby…???
    I think it’s a girl too…but that’s what I thought the whole time I was carrying my firstborn…son.

I say trust momma’s instincts. It’s a girl. I knew this little guy was a boy from the beginning. Even though we both sort of wanted a girl.

I hope the babe behaves for you during your ultrasound so you get a good look!

One of each. Twinners, or maybe triplets. You will have two girls and one flamboant boy with red hair (this is all too familiar…) Oh yeah…Tyson Fujikawa.

I’m saying it’s a girl. Just time for a little sweet justice for the Cramer family.
