Our jaunt to NYC was epic. We had an unbelievable time exploring and eating our way through the city with Tan & J. Pictures and details to come, but please journey with me through our adventure home last night:
4:30 pm Leave midtown on the subway, destination JFK
5:15 pm Arrive at JFK
7:15 pm Scheduled departure (8:15 pm new departure time)
7:50 pm Board the airplane
8:10 pm Pilot comes into the cabin and announces they will be shutting the door of the aircraft and we will be waiting approximately 3 hours on the tarmac for our plane to take-off
*Soothing myself by thinking the extra time on the plane will help prepare me for a future Europe trip
11:15 pm Plane takes-off bound for RDU
*Riddle me this, why do people find it necessary to repeatedly TOOT in confined areas with poor air circulation? I think my tickets have an addendum printed on them “Must be seated next to a public tooter”
12:30 am Arrive at RDU to flurries
8:30 am Arise to find this:

i still don’t understand why they make you wait on the runway if they know it’s going to be 3 hours?!

Seriously, 3 hours! I would have been screaming to get me off the plane! You are amazing and your pics from your trip are darling! I miss you and can’t wait for you to get here!
