Houston

As I mentioned last week, I received a surprise plane ticket to Houston to visit Kent, Mary, Trey & Braden. Kenter & Mar were both having a busy and important week so I helped out around the house and got to play with the little men. We had dance parties, cup stacked (a new talent they learned during “P.E”) and played basketball, army men and transformers. I also had two little sous chefs accompanying me during the meals. Trey would taste everything and say it needed more spices. Braden was a master chopper and pounder.

I can’t get enough of Braden’s face, he was SO into it:

Trey asking me to dance with a flower (marker):

Indiana Jones:

Highlight 1:I went to pick the boys up from school (in walking distance) and it was POURING rain. I brought along rain coats and boots so we could splash in the puddles on the way home. The teachers all looked at me like I was insane and after the fifth teacher made a comment to me I got a little snappy back. Regardless, we had a BLAST splashing through the puddles and getting completely soaked. Then we ran inside for a hot shower and hot coco. Downside, my phone got completely water logged and stopped working.

Highlight 2: These little men are beyond their years and really dislike going to school on Fridays (seems like such a long week) and absolutely HATE homework. With their parents permission, I got the boys out of school early (like way early) on Friday.

As I was waiting, I heard down the hall, Trey: “Hurry brother” Braden: “Whew we gowen bwother?” (he has trouble pronouncing ‘r’ and right now it’s adorable) Trey: “I don’t know just hurry. I hope it’s somethin goooooood”. They came around the corner, saw me and literally tackled me in the front lobby. We went home and watched Polar Express while eating popcorn and sipping hot coco. After the movie I gave them each a bell to Believe in Santa and remember Sissy.
