Halloween Party

November 2nd, 2008 by Elizabeth · 10 Comments

Friday evening, Husband and I had friends over for a little Ghoulish Bash. We loved having the Stewarts (remember this little guy) and Vandenbergs over for some sweet treats and a “scary” movie. We watched Rear Window by Alfred Hitchcock because Husband remembered it being scarier than it really is.

Our entry way was decorated with the things we had for our ward’s Trunk or Treat but didn’t get to use because we were cleaning up the kids’ carnival.

Setting the ambiance with lots of candles everywhere.

We had an apple & rice crispy caramel bar with all of the fixings…

and a garlic-cheese dip baked inside a pumpkin served with toasted  baguettes.

Mom, I may not have worn the witch costume, but I definitely wore the scary spider earrings.

I would have dipped the apple in the cheese dip.

    Yes, I’m totally serious.

    Deliciously scary

Tim and I watched Rear Window a couple Halloweens ago at the request of Mariani. I liked it! Probably because it wasn’t very scary. Just suspenseful. I don’t do scary.

Liz, you make me sick! In a good way. You’re gorgeous, you’re funny AND you can cook freakishly well! Please come out to Phoenix at the end of the year and teach me all your secrets.

Wow Elizabeth. That’s looks amazing. You’re so cute. I should get that recipe from you for the garlic dip in the pumpkin. I love the presentation of it. Are you guys going to be in UT for Marlayne’s wedding?
