Best Pre-Birthday Gift Given a Month and a Half Early Ever

Double post today readers!

Don’t you feel lucky!

This post is waaaaaaaay cooler then the last one. Although that post had to be said, this post will kick that post in the shins and having it crying for it’s mommy. Yes this post will taunt that post and make it feel inadequate. (Spelled it right! Thanks ESPN2’s coverage of Scripps National Spelling Bee!)

Some background. Readers ever since writing THE post, Wife and I feel everyday that we are getting closer to our new abode, new lifestyle, and new occupation. One of the things that we do to make the days from now till then go faster is trip planning.

Wife and I have caught the travel bug pretty bad. This was discovered early into our marriage and we’ve even been compiling a must see list of exotic places for the two of us. (College for the kiddos? OVER RATED clap clap clapclapclap) Well with this new coast thrust upon us our minds are spinning of all the places that are potentially at our fingertips. And for some reason one place has been coming CONSTANTLY to my mind. Prepare for a mind explosion readers.

Three words.

Walt. Disney. World.

Yes readers the undisputed king of magical kingdoms. (And if any of you say Knotsberry Farms is better you can just go back to sniffing paint chips cause you’re lame) Now readers I know you must be thinking, “You are 26 years of age, married, with no chillins to speak of. Why on earth would you want to go to Disney World?”

That, readers, is the question! Honestly if I had to put pen to paper and make a list why I, Steven Ashby Cramer, being of sound mind and body would want to go to Walt Disney World, it would probably look something like this

REASONS WANTING TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD

1. Magical Awesomeness

2. Mickey Freakin’ Mouse

3. 12 dollar churros

You see readers, it’s much more intangible than that. I just can’t explain the prehistoric urge that one gets to hang out with guys dressed as giant dogs and ducks. But I’ve got it. Bad. I would google how long it would take to get there by car, forwarding the links to Wife saying “SEE? SEE?” I catch myself humming the Tiki Room song. I just gots a Disney World jones.

Perhaps it’s because the last time I went to Disneyworld was this time:

So you see readers, I’m due.

Which brings us to present day. I have spent the past couple of weeks working on what should be my final out-of-town install for work. I had to travel to exotic Cedar City and St. George. I was about at the end of my rope readers. I was done with the hotels, the free continental breakfast, the late nights, and the empty beds. So needless to say I was very excited to return back to Wife. We get home and I notice that Wife is wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt. Nothing out of the ordinary it’s a shirt she usually wears when cleaning the house. What I didn’t realize that it was only a small part of a master plan that Wife had been cooking up for weeks.

Readers, we’re going to Disneyworld.

YES!!! CHILDHOOD DREAMS FULFILLED! For the past three weeks Wife has be secretly masterminding a weekend trip for her and I to revert back to our 8 year old selves and take in everything that the Magic Kingdom has to offer us. Wife had it all planned out and was so nervous that I was going to find out that she HAD to tell me when she did. We are spending two fun-filled days parkhoppin across the Florida expanse. I CANNOT WAIT. Wife you are the bestest!

Readers I would write more but my hands have begun trembling in excitement. I’m drooling out of the left side of my mouth in anticipation. Details to come.

12 dollar churros. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

That Sword In The Stone picture may or may not be one of the most classic pictures ever taken, ever. Wow.
