No, this is not a product placement for “Miller Lite” nor is it an advertisement “WANTED: Adorable Little Boys.” This is a happy birthday message to one hot momma, Gretchen Elizabeth Kohlbacher Bowman! Gretch is the wife of my second brother, Benj, and mother to Yadon & Brooks.

Gretch has always been a member of our family. Our families have been friends since way back in the day, and truth be told, her dad dove into Lake Powell to save me after I had flown off the roof of a houseboat when I was about 1 1/2. Gretch was “officially” made a Bowman almost 5 years ago (is that right? geez!) and we’ve loved having her in the family. Her competitive nature fits right in with the Bowman clan, and while we can all hang with most fun-in-games, Gretch can all kick our butts when it comes to running. She’s the workout/marathon queen.

So Gretch, here’s to you and your birthday and taking a day off at the gym…even though I can guarantee you’ll still probably be there. Love Ya!
