You know by now that I love entertaining and often dream of my future endeavors which will bring various forms of hosting and entertaining. Thanks to my mother-in-law, Janet, I just inherited some of Steven’s grandmother’s, Alicebeth, beautiful china. I never had the opportunity to meet Alicebeth, but Janet has described her and told me stories, and let me tell you…this woman knew how to entertain. Alicebeth was the hostess of the mostess and was known for hosting everything from breakfast get-togethers to luncheons to dinner parties; and she loved her entertaining pieces.
Janet has graciously passed on some of Alicebeth’s favorite china sets, yes she had MULTIPLE sets, to the daughter-in-laws. I simply adore the china Janet gave me; I’ve already had several visions of feminine luncheons and parties dancing in my head…

I have a full set of bowls and plates from the first picture. The next two pictures are two of Alicebeth’s special/favorite plates. Thank you so much Janet for the beautiful, feminine china; what a special thing to have in our family and carry on Alicebeth’s traditions!

I inherited a set of China from my grandma. It makes it so much more fun when it has sentimental value! Your set is beautiful. Happy hosting!
