I hope the title of this post helps to illustrate the confusion and distress Steven and I experienced Sunday night. We thought it would be fun to make sugar cookies but with two holidays so utterly close to one another, what were we supposed to do?
Answer: Use Easter cookie cutters to make cookies while listening to Irish music. Yes, we are a cultured couple. In fact, I couldn’t help but think of the “Celtic Woman” concert commercials while listening to the Irish music. Yes, extremely cultured.

I’m also happy to report that I finally found a fabulous sugar cookie recipe! I like thick, soft cookies…if they are thin and even slightly crunchy I’ll pass; two days later and they’re still uber soft! It’s definitely a keeper.
Also, Steven picked up a new habit during our “family” time:

I’m afraid I’ll see this exact look on our future little boy’s face when he gets caught doing something…but it better not involve white powder.

That bunny butt cookie is pretty much the awesomest thing ever. I’m gonna have to remember that one. Seriously. Awesome.

You guys crack me up!! I love that you were so culturally torn and I def. agree that they were way to close together…lets just blame it on global warming since that is what we do with everything else!! I love the bunny cottontail–turn it in to martha steward, sheer genius!!! love you guys!
