So, 447 days and 9 hours later, I have officially made the already official of being “Elizabeth Anne Cramer” on my SS card. I “surprised” Steven while he was out of town and finally made the trip down to the local SS office. Now, I have several reasons that I believe fully justify the delayed name change on THE card 1) weird hours of operation 2) I’ve been able to complete all needed documents, registration and taxes with my old SS card and my “Elizabeth Cramer” license 3) etc. etc. etc.
But, I won’t deny that there was a little bit of natural reservation in changing my name on THE card. Please, please, PLEASE understand that I absolutely L-O-V-E being Steven’s wife and bearing his last name, but I am also extremely proud of being a “Bowman.” Steven is so sweet and understands me so well. He assures me that I am just as much a Bowman as I am a Cramer.
So, here’s to a somewhat ending of an era and making the 447 days and 9 hours of being official, official.

Love you as a Bowman…and a Cramer. To be honest…you are 100 percent Bowman, taking on the Cramer name, and when you have a little one…that will be the fair split :o)

Haha…you are too funny. My brothers still say things like, “I guess you still are a Thomas.” I tell them…hec yes I am a Thomas. I will always be a Thomas. But I am happy to be a Larsen as well! I know how you feel. Although….I did get my named changed on the “card” about 2 weeks after we got back from our honeymoon

i was so attached to my maiden name that i kept it.
My official middle name is Mikaile Foote (no hyphen)

Uhm…yeah….haven’t changed mine either! And get this–BYU sent me a snarky email saying that I have to bring it in before I can officially enroll in law school as Brittany Ratelle since they know me as Brittany Leonard…my Dad is not going to like it… I can tell you that.
