I have a confession. I am addicted to blogs. I absolutely love looking at them, reading them and basically delving into ANY part of them! Sad and oh so scary at the same time, thank you, I’m fully aware of my condition. This afternoon, as I sat at my desk frustrated and overwhelmed by the mounds of work covering the wood laminate (well maybe that was a titch exaggerated), I decided I wanted, no NEEDED, to relieve myself of the duties and write a post.

All of the activities I need to blog about require photos that I don’t have at my disposal. So as I so “enthusiastically” sat at my desk, I discovered some new blogs with owners in my circle of friends. Manna from heaven (and I’m really NOT exaggerating now). I read a post on one of my dear friend’s blogs that consisted of a movie review. For her protection, I will not reveal her identity but would you believe she did not enjoy “27 Dresses?”

After getting over my utter shock and dismay at this possibility, I pondered why she could have such disdain for this movie. Maybe it was because the Chick-flick was shamelessly predictable, the foreshadowing left little to the imagination and I dare say slightly run of the mill (especially when she gets knocked out at the bouquet toss and wakes up to find her disguised love…can you say “Wedding Planner?”)
None the less this movie is one of my new favs. Truth be told, I saw this movie by myself. Before I begin having pity readers, please know I chose to go to the movie by myself. Steven had to work on a day that I had off and going to a movie by myself is on my life’s list…you know those invisible yet ever-so-present lists we all have. As I sat in the theatre giggling out loud to almost birthing a tear, I couldn’t help but so identify with Jane, Katherine Heigl’s character. I felt this movie personified my quirks, habits and passions.
So my dear friend of the original post, you know who you are, I will be buying this movie and inviting you over for a viewing party, maybe I’ll even throw in a pina colada and a shrimp cocktail, for you and any other skeptics of this effortlessly darling movie.

I can own up to it. It was me everyone. I did not appreciate 27 Dresses.
The night before I saw 27 Dresses I went to see a film at Sundance…it was one of those War-Documentary-change-the-way-you-think-about-the-world-experiences. I hardly slept that night because I was thinking about the documentary so much so let’s just say that I was not in a chick flick state of mind when I went to the movie the next afternoon.
I will take you up on the movie night, pina coladas sound great. No shrimp cocktails though. Yeah, I am a picky eater too.

Hey, this should be a group thing. I love shrimp cocktails! Plus, there’s no way Connor’s going to see this movie with me, so seeing it with some of the gals would be perfect.
