Unfortunately, Steven and I have not had nor taken the opportunity to visit the slopes as much as I would like. Thankfully, my parents came into town on Friday, which of course means a trip up to the cabin at Alta!

Saturday was the perfect skiing conditions…minus a biting wind to the face on the straightaways. We caught blue skies and absolutely fabulous snow in between snow storms on Friday and Sunday. We took in a few runs and then a break in the cabin so we could listen to President Hinckley’s funeral service on the radio; what a tribute to an amazing man and prophet of God.

Saturday was the first time back on my skis since February 2007…horrible, despicable…I KNOW, I KNOW! I always seem to forget the sensation of when you make a turn and the carving is just right and so effortlessly glides you into the next turn with the soft, swishing sound of your skis on the surface of the snow. Awwwww, I just love it.

Alta truly is heaven on Earth.

Sorry we don’t have any real pictures…our camera has been laid to rest. We are currently researching point-and-shoot cameras to buy immediately…with a Digital SLR (AKA Bad A$$ Professional Camera) to be coming down the road soon.
