Proud Daddy

Last night, Yvette and Brad’s little angel came into the world weighing a whopping 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long! Brad could not be a prouder papa with his posterity coming in strong for the football team of now 5 Bowman grandsons! Yvette was a champ after being in labor for several hours and finally going in for a C-Section…but I have to say they’re always prettier babies coming out that way. Every one says he looks a lot like Yvette and I think he definitely has her nose; my mom said she took a picture of Brody that looks exactly likes Brady when he was a baby. Brody was born on Brad’s half-birthday and exactly 1 week after his momma’s birthday!

Kent, Mary and the boys were the only siblings in town for the arrival, but I have to share this story with you about Trey and Braden…

My mom said they were angels while waiting for little Brody all day. The family’s first time to see Brody was when Brad was giving him a bath very soon after being delivered. My mom described as such a sweet, spiritual moment. When Trey and Braden saw little Brody they just started hugging each other and saying, “I love you brother.” Then Braden, 5, turned to Mary and asked, “Mom, is he going to be a Bowman Brother with us forever?” Trey started crying while watching little Brody because it was such a special time and even as a 6 yr. old Trey Bird could sense that; he is our miracle baby and I know he has such a sweet spirit. So, needless to say, I think the nephews are extremely excited to welcome Brody officially into the “Bowman Brother” gang with an official BB Lawncare t-shirt!

We bought my plane ticket to go out and visit the little Brodmeister and I can’t wait to see him, his chubby cheeks and head of hair! Is April 17th here yet???
