Well, Eb and I had the opportunity last week to see the Christmas lights on Temple Square, a first as a married couple! Precious I know. Anyway it was really really pretty, but as Eb and I talked we remembered that when we were younger we felt that the ENTIRE square would be lit. I mean, I remember as a kid thinking that the entire square was lit with lights. But maybe I had just misconstrued memories of the past. (Just like I remember Thundercats being awesome! Right fellas? Nope. Turns out it’s lame and boring. So disappointing)

THIS is how I remember it!
Regardless, Elizabeth and I still had a grand ole time walking around and reminiscing about our wedding day and the like. We went up to the 10th floor in the Joseph Smith Buildling and remembered how we were pioneers who used the entryway to its fullest. We were on our way back to the car and being the budding, yet proud photographers that we are we wanted a picture of us, the temple, and the lights. Simple order right? Should be able to do it ourselves right? Well 20 minutes and two frozen butt cheeks later we decided to call the photoshoot a wrap. Here below are some of our favorite attempts.

Alright this might seem like a normal picture but I use it to illustrate a point. As everyone might know I have a noggin that borders on the slightly large size. So as we set up the picture our faces are side by side, which is just fine but as soon as Eb starts counting she starts SLIDING HER HEAD BACK FURTHER AND FURTHER and we get people’s exhibit A. My head looking like a melon on steroids and my wife looking lovely. This predicament lasted through about half the pictures!

If you cross your eyes and squint you get one of those Magic Eye pictures

NAILED IT!
