So, I have hit the 24 hour mark…actually less than 24 hours…until I go to my Mother land, the Heart Land of Oklahoma! I am so excited to see my family and friends! The best part is that my ENTIRE family will be together, which doesn’t happen too often. Can you believe it? Kent Sr., Laurie, Kent Jr., Mary, Trey, Braden, Benj, Gretch, Yadon, Brooks, Brad, Yvette (and baby inside), Steven and ME!
The past two mornings I’ve woken up at about 3 a.m. and then forced myself back to sleep until 5 a.m. because I am SO excited! By the time 5 a.m. rolls around I am just way too antsy to even THINK about sleeping. For example, this morning I was up doing my nails at, oh, 6 A.M.!!!
The other day I g-chatted (basically talking over the Internet via gmail) the ENTIRE state song to Steven. You all know it, “Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains…” I mean seriously, how cool is it that basically EVERYONE knows your state song? What’s New York’s state song? California? Florida? UTAH? Yeah, that’s what I thought…you don’t know unless you’re from there, but Oklahoma, oh you know that song (trust me because whenever I tell people where I’m from they usually either 1) break out it song 2) mention how they were in the play growing up or 3) say “Oh, like the song”).
Be looking for posts to come with pictures and updates of the fun events!
